Crossing The Finish Line? They did it! In just 5 months, Joe & Verity cycled all the way from London to Mumbai. On the 25th of January, our magic cyclists crossed the finish line in Mumbai where they were met with a hero’s welcome by our colleagues at Magic Bus India. There, they celebrated their achievement at our office in Mumbai with a specially prepared cake.
Their tremendous efforts have raised over £5,350, easily beating their goal to raise £1 for every mile they cycled.
All along their route through India, Joe & Verity got a chance to see the work their efforts were supporting, dropping in on Magic Bus’ sessions and Livelihood Centres, with a chance to chat with children and young people who are benefiting from our work.
“We were really moved by the stories we heard, resulting in tangible poverty alleviation for those involved and their families who they could now support.”
