Magic Bus UK is proud to be taking part in the BBC Radio 4 Appeal!

Our appeal, presented by Magic Bus UK’s own Ruby Parmar, tells the story of Nahida, a young woman who grew up in the slums of Mumbai, where she faced hardship, gender discrimination, and no future to call her own. With Magic Bus’ help, Nahida found her voice, overcame the barriers before her, and followed her dream of playing football. Today, Nahida is a fully qualified football coach, in the Mumbai Women’s Super League.

Nahida’s story is an inspiration, and she has become a role model within her community. But countless more young boys and girls just like Nahida are trapped in hardship.
