ABOUT MAGIC BUS
India has the highest youth population in the world, for whom education, ambition and opportunity are monumental factors for their futures. Yet, for millions of young people from India’s disadvantaged communities, opportunities are constrained by circumstances out of their control.
2 out of 5 girls drop out before completing secondary school
More than half of Year 8 students cannot calculate basic division sums
60% of young people lack the skills needed to successfully enter the workforce
Magic Bus exists to change that – from Childhood to Livelihood.
Through engaging sports-based activities and meaningful mentorship, Magic Bus works with young people aged 12–18 to develop essential life skills, such as decision-making, teamworking, managing emotions, and resilience – helping them stay in school and feel motivated to learn.
Beyond the schooling years, we support young people aged 18–25 to transition into sustainable livelihoods through employability upskilling, such as CV and interview coaching, English language practice, and work placements. For many, this leads to the first formal job in their family – unlocking not only financial stability but dreams that once felt out of reach.
Embedded in all our programmes is a commitment to work closely with local ecosystems – parents, families, teachers, etc. – so that impact is led by the community, for the community, and leads to real, lasting change.
Because where you’re born shouldn’t determine how far you can go. Every young person deserves the chance to build their own future.
Thank you for helping India’s next generation gain access to more knowledge, bigger opportunities and brighter futures.
