Magic Bus is proud to announce that it is an official charity partner of the BAFTA award winning, Oscar nominated hit film "Lion"

Staring Dev Patel (BAFTA, Best Supporting Actor) and Nicole Kidman, Lion (BAFTA, Best Adapted Screenplay) tells the story of Saroo, a young Indian boy growing up in poverty who becomes separated from his family on the railways. After spending several months living on the streets of Calcutta, thousands of miles away from home, Saroo is eventually adopted by an Australian family and brought to live in Tasmania. Years later and all grown up, Saroo sets out to find his lost family.

We are thrilled to be an official partner of this incredibly moving film, one which clearly highlights the tragedy of children growing up in poverty in India. With the support of the film's producers, The Weinstein Company, Lion will undoubtedly have a positive impact for Magic Bus, helping us to raise awareness about our work helping children in India escape poverty, and to raise valuable funds to continue that work.

We highly recommend that anyone interested in the work of Magic Bus, or the plight of children living in poverty, see Lion, and experience this extraordinarily moving story for themselves. We also hope you'll share this experience with your friends and family so that everyone can see exactly why Magic Bus is working so hard to help children on the journey from childhood to livelihood.
