Magic Bus UK is committed to preserving the privacy of all visitors to our website at www.magicbus.org.uk. Please read the following privacy policy to understand how we use and protect information that you provide to us. This privacy policy contains important information about how we will use your personal data. By registering or placing a donation on this website, you consent to the collection, use and transfer of your information under the terms of this policy. For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998, Magic Bus UK is the data controller (i.e. the organisation who is responsible for, and controls the processing of, your personal data).

1.  Information that we collect from you as a visitor to this website.

When you use this website, we may collect information about your computer, such as your IP address and/or browser which we will use for administration purposes and statistical analysis. This information will not usually identify you personally. We do this by placing a 'cookie', which is a small file, on your computers hard disk. Cookies are used for several reasons: to recognise you whenever you visit this website, to speed up access to this website (so you do not have to log on each time), to store your personal preferences, to build a profile about you, to better target our marketing and advertising campaigns. The vast majority of web browsers accept cookies. However, you can change your browser settings so that cookies are not accepted. If you do this, you may lose some of the functionality of this website.

2.  Information that we collect from you as a registered user (i.e. fundraiser) of this website.

If you register on this website, we will collect your name, title, email address, postal address, contact numbers (where you have agreed to provide it) and your password. We may also obtain sensitive personal data about you if you volunteer it during the completion of the online form. By registering as a fundraiser on this website, you will be consenting to us processing your personal information (including sensitive personal data where you have volunteered it) for the purpose of passing information to the charity you have chosen to benefit from the donations which you are collecting ('nominated charity'). We will use and process your personal data to enable your nominated charity to receive information about you. We will not pass on any personal data to any other third party other than your nominated charity or HM Revenue & Customs (in respect of any Gift Aid donation) unless you give us your express consent to do so.

Your gift aid declaration includes your name and home address, which may be different from your billing address, along with the confirmation that you are paying sufficient amount of tax for the current tax year. Every time you make a donation, you will be given the option to receive further information from the charity. We will not pass on your name or address to any charity other than the one (s) to whom you donate unless you expressly give us your consent to do so. On making a donation using this website you are giving us your consent to collect and process your personal data for the purpose of processing your donation and to passing your personal information and details of your donation to the nominated charity.
