UK programme update

Magic Bus launched its Teenage Girls programme in January. The programme uses street dance and other activities to facilitate learning around self-management, self-worth, healthy relationships and positive mental health.

A core group of girls has been attending the sessions which are held every Tuesday after school at the Black Prince Trust Community Hub. Here they have been learning a number of dance styles, alongside activities such as boxing, basketball and handball. The sessions provide the girls with a safe space in which to learn from youth workers and each other and discuss and reflect upon issues that are important to them, such as body image, healthy living, relationships and the positive management of emotions.

If you would like to learn any more about the Magic Bus UK teenage girls programme, please contact Priyanka Sharma on 020 7922 7717 or priyanka@magicbusuk.org.
