Fantastic event at the National Theatre

Magic Bus supporters had the opportunity last night to mingle with the cast of the National Theatre's latest production, Behind the Beautiful Forevers. The play by David Hare, based on a book of the same name by Katherine Boo, charts the lives of residents of Annawadi, a Mumbai slum community in which Magic Bus runs its programme.

A private reception was held in the main rehearsal room and attended by the play's director and cast, including actress Meera Syal, and gave guests the chance to learn more about both Magic Bus' work in Annawadi and the production.

A bucket collection was held by the cast after the performance with the audience giving generously to Magic Bus.
